“The Body is Merely the Apparition of a Framework”
Separated into several projects, this ongoing series primarily explores photographic self-representation as a means to unpack the relationship between technology, modernity, and identity. Taking inspiration from a growing body of research that spans philosophy, physics, and art history, these photographs explore the artist’s own body as a site of overlapping memories and meanings, using images from their own ’embodied’ history of dysphoria, diaspora, and situated experience, to literally illuminate the corporeal body which inhabits them.
